Kuhnkes FIO Safety SDI4/SDO2, 4 DI kanalı ve 2 DI kanalı içeren bir safety I/O terminalidir. Kuhnke'nin FIO serisindeki bu genişletme modülü, herhangi bir EtherCAT® ağına kolayca entegre olur. 4 giriş, kayan 24 VDC kontaklar aracılığıyla sensör okumalarını alırken, 2 çıkış, 24 VDC aktüatörlere kanal başına 2 A'ya kadar akım gönderir. EtherCAT terminalinin bir arıza tespit etmesi durumunda, güvenli duruma (arızaya karşı korumalı) geçer. Modül, IEC 61508 SIL3 ve DIN EN ISO 13849 PL e gereksinimlerini karşılar.
